People say you should buy hardware that explicitly supports Linux, but I disagree. See if it works. If it doesn’t, then return it.
I’ve never had an issue with Linux compatibility on a laptop, and I use gaming laptops.

“Targeting proton” is another reason why I don’t take the development community at large seriously.
It’s full of dipshits all regurgitating each other’s stupidity.

For a developer, it is costly to maintain a separate build for Linux without the consumer base to justify the effort.
Only if you’re a bad developer or using bad tools!
I encourage everyone who thinks “it’s too difficult or costly” to see for themselves before believing the people taking them for a ride!

Would be pretty funny if Valve demanded that, but I don’t see it happening.
It’s really up to users and developers to grow some balls and stop suckling the corporate teat.

There is no corner they aren’t willing to cut.

You’ll probably need to install them via a windows VM and copy them over to Linux. Even then, it will be hit or miss.
Good luck.
I’m all for letting people say what they want, but that goes both ways in letting them criticize what you say.
If you don’t like them, you can just ignore them. Nobody is saying you have to take the opinions of people on the internet seriously.

Quick, let’s vote for Hillary Clinton!

Closed source pile of trash.

I mean, I agree with you. Why should we have less while others have more? Especially when they’re not contributing to civilization, but rather leeching off of it.
At the same time, the $300* a month that I received was way more than enough for my personal needs. It was great. I got to eat whatever I wanted and then some. I was no longer bound to just the bare minimum that I was willing to accept.
3 is better than 1 and 2.
I don’t consider Disney’s Star Wars to be a part of the actual universe.
It’s kind of bittersweet. Yeah, we don’t get new Star Wars but at the same time we can appreciate what we have knowing that there’s nothing new coming.
That is a hot take.

Heh, I hate to break this to ya’ll, but I used to be on food stamps and ate crab legs all the time. I could’ve gotten frozen lobster tail; there’s nothing stopping that. It’s just that crab legs are a better deal and easier.
They really do give more than enough.

That’s okay, I was planning on staying home anyways.

Great stuff.

Same, but it’s telling how the neo-liberal candidate is ignoring both the culture war and the class war.
Great stuff.
