the problem are the consequences: if too many ppl withdraw too much, the banks run short on cash. people either can’t withdraw, so some ppl will run out and can’t shop any more or it can be fixed by printing more money and put it in circulation, which will devalue it and ppl need even more of it.

the problem is, those devices are a substitute for jail. if you cause false geofencing alarms, they will default to just throwing ppl in jail where they lose their jobs.

you know, what could work to promote it: porn. remember when some non-porn creators turned to pornhub, because yt and other sites sucked? it could work out like that. there’s even an old song about the internet being for porn. porn could keep it afloat until it takes off.

The saying “better late than never” is also a thing in Germany.

I think, being scared to be sacrificed or killed by a government one once supported, is a teachable moment and they shall have a chance to tell the tale, teach others and redeem themselves.

There can be multiple bad things. You can totally blame them for this. It just may seem a bit hypocritical to some.

I think Germany/EU should grant all non-spy russians asylum, because those who leave are the good russians. They are the ones who don’t support putin and don’t attack Ukraine. Imagine it’s war and nobody shows up.

if it’s cheap to convert, because it’s done a lot, russian drones swarming it is actually good. it can be used to draw fire, exhaust their drone supply or distract them.

Nah, some ppl just overdo it. Could be a matter of taste, an environment that only compliments and never warns/disagrees or could be someone manipulating them to make them unattractive for most ppl. Some other ppl just don’t know when to stop. We can give advice, but it’s their body; their choice.

Maybe sandbox it. Put it in a chroot or VM or something. It doesn’t always work as there are sometimes exploits to break out of those, but worth a shot.

Also, if you’re just webbrowsing, you could buy a cheapo outdated notebook/PC and slap it on there. I got old hardware even for free a few times. You can still use it for simple things, like webbrowsing or retro games.
