True! Based on a Liu Cixin story. Never read it but loved his Three Body Problem series.

Absolutely agree with the wonders of the natural beauty in the US.
Only thing I would disagree with is that the European cities are quite a bit different than US cities. They largely have more historical charm, more methods of transportation, and on the whole somewhat distinct from one another.

Lol he’s never had any competence at governing. He just has no shame and an endless ability to lie which apparently is enough to get even scum like him elected.

I know just what you’re talking about and as I consume more media I even start to notice certain setups across them. Like even if one show has never used that trope before I can kind of tell where it’s going to go.
The best is when they know - and they know you know - and then subvert your expectations with a mew twist to the trope.
It’s possibly the only really great thing about becoming so literate in a certain media. Typically it spoils the fun as you well described, but it’s a real joy to have almost like a dialog if you will with the creator of the show as they play with your understanding of what is happening.

Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes@lemmy.zip•[ER] Is Nightreign worth it?
2·26 days agoI love all Fromsoft games but Nightreign has become my favorite. To me, the roguelite angle ‘solves’ a lot of the small issues that arpgs have. I could go on and on but there is already a lot of info out there.
All I’d recommend is to definitely play three-player runs, even with randos if you have to. That’s the best way to learn pathing and other important strategies. Of course there are plenty of shits out there but the vast majority of co-op experiences I have had in Nightreign have been great.
