What would the difference be using email providers outside the 14 eyes country?
What would the difference be using email providers outside the 14 eyes country?
Sounds obvious. Didn’t think about that, focused too much on privacy related reasons haha. > markva
I use GoogleStreetMap for GPS, I’ve replaced Gmail with StartMail and instead of Google Calendar I use TimeTree for now. Might need to find a real privacy related calendar, anyone suggestions?
Why should you have multiple free accounts?
That’s why I am no longer using their services like Gmail and Google Maps. I jumped tot alternatives, much recommended.
I’ve stepped away from Microsoft. Not my favourite company regarding mailing and chatting.
War. Literally war. And not about the money, but about who has the most power.
What’s the best alternative? This doesn’t sound great…
I switched to StartMail, I’m officially done with ProtonMail. Are you even kidding me, how just how…
Wondering why nobody is talking about StartMail. StartMail provides encrypted email services, including PGP encryption for secure communication, and the option to send password-protected emails to non-users. It also offers unlimited disposable email aliases to protect your primary email address and avoids tracking or profiling users.
As for ProtonPass, I’ve thought about it too, but so far I’m happy with my current setup, including Bitwarden for passwords and StartMail for email. I appreciate Proton’s focus on privacy, but for me, using different providers (like StartMail + Bitwarden) adds an extra layer of security in case something goes wrong with one of them. StartMail, for example, is a strong alternative to Gmail with its focus on privacy, while Bitwarden is excellent for password management due to its open-source nature and transparency.
I don’t think he use all those services. If you want storages with like > 1 TB you’ll probably want to set up your own NAS and make back ups. Currently I use StartMail, 30GB storage and if you ask my personal list I should say use them for their disposable email service if that is what you’re looking for. If you don’t bother having disposable emails I suggest go for Tuta/StartMail. Tuta has a friendly userface and 500GB storage, while StartMail has less storage but more options.
