Why does that indicate that a coup is coming ? Isn’t it better for a coup against such a popular figure to happen without western audiences hearing about it ? Granted, I haven’t thought a lot about general color revolution strategy, but what’s the playbook ?

While I have absolutely no trust that Israel will stop killing civilians in the long run, I think this should still be taken as good news. From the point of view of palestinians in Gaza, the mass killings will stop (at least for a while), which is an excellent start and must happen at some point if they are to survive. Furthermore, I think it’s possible that more and more news will come out of Gaza and it will be publicly known how many people Israel has killed (probably several hundred thousands), which will even further destroy Israel’s reputation among the general public in the west.
