Hecto used to be popular in sweden until like 2000 or so, when it came to food. Especially candy and charcuterie were priced and ordered in “hekto” (the “gram” dropped in speech).
You bought it early, and now the company feel like they are missing out, so you should pay more. You wouldn’t deny a company a chance to squeeze all of the money out of you, right?

The AvP aliens and Diablo 1 Butcher are brilliant. But also would like to add two creatures from Dead Space: the wall snake, and the one who regenerates.
The wall snake is more of a surprise. But it is such a great setup. You walk into a corridor and you see a hole in the wall. You are very careful not to take your eyes off it. Then you exit, nothing happened. You ho on, do some other stuff, and you have forgotten all about it. Then bam you opened the door to the corridor but forgot about it, a snake grabs you and throws you arround, and you realize where you are.
And the regenerating one. Brilliant. You face it, start you usual thing, shoot the limbs, it goes down, nice. It fucking regrows its limbs?! Run! Slow it down, run, slow, run, …
That is because women are woke. You just found anti-woke republican christian porn
Ah, that rings a bell. I must’ve misrembered it. Corrected my comment.
The Torment Nexus!
Don’t even ask them! Do what… was it Altman? Who said he generates [Generate] a podcast from their schedule and listen to instead. Zero interaction!
Edit: see boonhet’s reply below

Eventhough it is old, it was interesting.
I think one of the things that have changed, and will even more since then, is the “getting the application from the author”. Does not all enterprise spaces now adays, and even more with llms and vibecoding, want their employees to not be able to get applications from the author, only from a certified source. They’d say if Apple says it is fine, go ahead, but they would not trust a random author.
What I mean is not that this point to some solution, but rather yet another problem for the linux desktop, in enterprise spaces at least. And it is a growing problem.
Just like god works in mysterious ways, his humor is even worse.

Looks like it could be Trump’s.
There was some network problem (my own or instance, I do not know) which made the image not load, and i wrote “thanks for creating unloadable content” with a screenshot of the message. Then the image appeared and I felt silly so I removed it.

Don’t tell The Guardian, but their block is very easy to bypass: open link in firefox, press reader view button. There you go.

It’s probably them being butt hurt for the left preventing them in couping in market rents under the social democrat government last time.

“Center-left” is really bending the words. The party called “center”, which is part of that bloc, is very much an economic right wing party. They just draw the line at racists, which the other right wing parties do not.

There is an official (as in published by the ministry of elections) preliminary count: https://resultat.val.se/val2026
Det skulle också hjälpa om offentlig verksamhet inte fick ta med dessa återfallsbrottslingar till företag i upphandlingar. Löjligt att med ena handen ta böta dem å med andra belöna dem.
