Open Source@lemmy.ml•systab (a crontab-ish cli for systemd) now with color
2·il y a 14 joursHaha. I’m fine with systemd now. Still feel it’s over-engineered, but at least my script makes it tolerable.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•so easy migrating from GitHub to Forgejo
2·il y a 14 joursI run my own forgejo instance, but love mirroring to codeberg. almost done with my escape from github.

1·il y a 15 joursTo be fair it’s only the name. The only link is to github, rather than the user profile.

1·il y a 16 joursI don’t think that’s exposed via the cli. That would also be my preference.

3·il y a 16 joursyou end up with something like this:
oXXXXXXXd commented last year (Migrated from github.com)
so you get the github username, but that’s it.

3·il y a 17 joursNo. I started that way, but realized I could keep the issues, etc, by using the web “new migration” feature.

2·il y a 26 joursi used to be ok with the trade-offs, but it’s no longer feeling safe. i even paid for the plan for a long time, but i’m not looking back. forgejo and renovate are more performant and featureful. total win :-)

2·il y a 26 joursi’ve not setup notifications. my forgejo does that for me, which i’m running podman style. since i live in a van, i host my stuff on hetzner and i’m trying to see how much i can do on one of their smaller instances ;-) so, i’m not running in constantly. a systemd timer runs it over night. otherwise it was very much doing a lot of heavy re-scanning.

That’s why I built systab 🤪. I needed to take the pain out of it.
