We’re fighting the same oppressive forces though, so it’s not at all comparable to changing the topic to oppression Olympics. But if you’ll be so defensive when a real issue comes up I’m not interested in taking further.

The difference is that reactionary black people don’t have racial privileges the way white people generally do, black people are more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrators, and I don’t know if you’re reading the room or not but their communities have been terrorized for centuries. Without knowing anything about you personally I can’t comment on your experiences, but we live in a racist system designed to keep black people down and superexploit them. Even as things get progressively worse for us trans folks we need to stay in solidarity with black people and other POC, it’s the right thing to do and there’s a lot we can learn by listening to them.
I’ve seen street interviews showing the opposite. Link to a video on Reddit
There’s monarchists who do in fact support him, but they’re not the majority by any means.
I’m trans and white passing too, I’m sorry for your bad experiences, I’ve had plenty too. I just wanted to say that there’s a very real issue with white LGBT+ people aligning themselves with their whiteness more than their queerness, especially for cis people, but even trans folks (see people like Contrapoints). So for systemic issues you do see a divide that we shouldn’t ignore.
Many scholars in sociology and Black Studies define racism not just as personal prejudice, but as a structural system that requires power to enforce racial bias. This framework argues that for prejudice to function as racism, it must be backed by societal power which leads to real-world consequences and material disadvantages for marginalized groups. From this perspective, a society where institutional power is held by white people, only white people can enact racism.
Quoting it because you need to read it again. If you wanna be dense this is the end of our conversation here.

That’s fair, it’s hard to find credible sources atm due to media being consolidated against Iran and the like but if no one beats me to it I’ll try putting sources for specific claims for each thing later. Do you need a source for a particular claim? Mossad involvement? (For the record, Mike Pompeo is the former CIA director so he’s very credible when boasting about intelligence involvement lol)
If you’re gonna bait you gotta do a better job lol
I thought of the space dog too lmao thanks for sharing
Europe is profitting off child slavery and other horrible shit worldwide. This isn’t a thing of the past only, and being dismissive like this is beyond disrespectful to the many victims of capitalism.
I like Plasma best, followed by Xfce and Cinnamon. I can’t stand Mate or Gnome.
Sounds a lot like you’re supporting fascism to me.
I’m a communist, I support the free determination of all people, I just don’t support killing random ass civilians in the name of your self determination, and I wouldn’t trust any separatist movement that willingly sides with the US and/or Israel, for obvious reasons. I believe that the Kurdish struggle matters and they have the seeds to do something great, and this isn’t that.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Why is Debian always left out of the distro recommendations?
2·8 hours agoI’m running Debian 12 (Bookworm) on a Dell laptop and it updates my firmware out of the box as well. I’m not running any NVidia though, so I can’t comment on whether that’d work or not.
Not what I said. I argued he’s not a class traitor, which is factually true. I also elaborated why. I’m uninterested in making moral judgements on billionaires.
I couldn’t imagine a better response to such an infantile attack lol. Thanks.
Japan hasn’t even given a symbolic apology for their massive list of war crimes against China and all over Asia, Taiwan is part of China under international law, and the nationalist forces you defend were murdering communists while under attack by Japan. You fascist sympathizers…
I’d argue advocating for taxation isn’t really threatening to his own class. He’d be a class traitor if he advocated for workers’ democracy, better working rights, stronger unions, no exploitation of foreign workers, etc.
The issue isn’t that taxes are too low for the rich (even though they are), the issue is that they exploit us (both domestically and internationally) and get richer from owning rather than working, and that anything that we do to challenge this arrangement can get us killed.

Thanks for the writeup! I’ll keep all of that in mind.
