The EU parliament elections don’t seem to have gone as disastrously as everyone thought. The EU is rapidly losing its global importance and individual EU countries will do whatever they want anyway. The most important global political changes are those in the superpowers US and China, and the regional superpowers Russia, Iran, and to some extent India and Brazil.
