  • Lmao “the pro Palestine movement decided to oppose zionism and not only genocide”. Does she think the movement started on the 7th October? Does she think the genocide started on the 8th October ?

Yes Israel as a Jewish state(ie Zionism) is a factually ethno supremacist ideology and thus fascist. we need to oppose it as principled leftists.

This reeks of “The only way” but applied to a genocide. “Yes genocide is bad but there is no other waythat is not doomed, so compromise and allow a bit of genocide please”

I can’t take it anymore. “Please think, of the Jewish persons that could feel bad about people denouncing Israel, they are the true victims”. No, fuck that think of the people actually being genocided. She would be defending poor Germans in 1944.

Edit: I’m gonna go touch grass I shouldn’t be this pissed off about a Zionist YouTuber who I don’t even watch. The past year and a half have made me even more fucking mad than usual on this subject.

  • You are uninformed on France politics and especially Mélenchon. He is not communist. He was a Trotskyist when he was very young but then pivoted and joined the socialist party. He held the education ministry under Chirac/Jospin government and is a committed reformist. He truly thinks election are the way to reform the current system.

FI is not classified as far left by any organism with credibility. The current FI program is less radical than the one from Mitterrand back when he won the presidency (no nationalization for example). The program is a social democrat/Keynesian one.

Despite this I still think hes the best chance for France and I think hes more radical than what their program lets on.

He also has some weird nostalgia for France imperialism claiming that he is proud France is present in all oceans for example (Thanks to France’s colonies)

Having said all that I’m really fond of the guy and what he did to preserve the left in France and raise a generation of more radical militants through his Parti de Gauche and then La France Insoumise.
