Opensource@programming.dev•kew, a terminal music player, version 3.7 has just been released

Opensource@programming.dev•kew, a terminal music player, version 3.7 has just been released
2·2 months agoIt’s hard to compare. I really like Winamp and it is one of the players that I respect. kew differs in that it has a library explorer, more importance given to the album cover and a bigger spectrum visualizer. We are still working on visualizations though and were supposed to have cool visualizations this version, but hopefully the next will have them.

Lyric support was added as soon as the legal picture cleared.

It’s not what we are doing, it’s what this company is doing to us.
In Europe, The most expensive version of the Pinephone is €600 and the cheaper is €350: https://pine64eu.com/product-category/devices/smartphones/. Plus they are both out of stock.
I’m interested in this. Especially at that price point. I didn’t see any photos of device though.

Programming@programming.dev•How much are SOLID principles in OOP programming (and JVM languages specifically) just a mindless following of a set of ideas that aren't always the best solution?
91·3 months agoMy opinion is that you are right. I switched to C from an OOP and C# background, and it has made me a happier person.

Technology@lemmy.world•Google Confirms Non-ADB APK Installs Will Require Developer RegistrationEnglish
1·4 months agoYeah I really hope they wont ask termux packages or apps installed through termux to also be verified. Termux is on the play store but it’s not the real version. Termux devs have the actual version sideloaded.

14·4 months agoHow does this affect termux? Is it going to die or is it only going to be able to have packages that are from registered developers?
