First time I’ve seen that, that is such a cool concept!

Maybe this post would be better suited for !musicproduction@sh.itjust.works ?
I used Ardour, an entire open source DAW. Definitely more powerful than Audacity for this kind of thing, and I’m much more comfortable with MIDI notation than traditional music notation, too. I did eventually switch to Bitwig though, because I use a lot of samples and synth plugins and Bitwig’s workflow and UI for that is just a lot better than Ardour’s.
There are quite a few pretty good open source VST/LV2 plugins, e.g. ZynAddSubFX is a really powerful software synth and Dragonfly Reverb is a neat reverb. There are more, unfortunately many open source plugins are only available in LV2 format and unfortunately Bitwig doesn’t support LV2.

Triple-check that’s it’s real, make sure to secure it in multiple ways, then research charities so I can give most of it away. A couple of million € would already afford me all the luxuries that I could care about.
Not even sure what I’d actually spend money on that would improve my life. I seem to be accumulating medical issues that are difficult to diagnose, let alone treat; not sure that even a billion dollars would actually help much with that (we do have a somewhat sensible healthcare system in my country). I’d probably look into hiring some kind of personal assistant/caretaker/chauffeur, to improve my odds of actually making it to important appointments (or just having them do it for me, if it doesn’t require that I personally show up).
Trage so etwa seit meinem ersten mp3-Player mit eingebauter Uhr keine Armbanduhren mehr. Irgendwer muss die Industrie ja am Laufen halten, wenn ich das schon nicht tue!
I always use water straight from the tap (unheated) and I’ve tried several brands of soft and dry yeast. And it’s not like it doesn’t rise at all, but it’s rising much more timidly than what I’ve seen elsewhere and after baking it’s definitely too flat.
And which is the right water temp? I’ve always used water straight from the (cold) tap. I don’t think it’s overly chlorinated, but it’s very hard water if that’s relevant.
Being less able to do it never meant that you’re unable to do it, it’s just harder.
Ugh, another “literally”. Fuck that, let’s not validate incel nonsense.
tfw “being cheated on (consensually)” has somehow developed the same meaning as “being cheated on (nonconsensually)”
Don’t make this another “literally”, please.
Market is probably smaller, though.
I found that kids being fully immersed in something is also age-related. It’s not just that they have more time than an adult with a job, they also have more energy in general and typically better focus. Plus they’re able to practice things for hours at a time without getting backpain etc.

Including porn sites!

You can use yt-dlp to download videos, too. I do it all the time, mostly because my internet is unreliable and slow. yt-dlp even works for Twitch VODs, though it’s getting a bit ridiculous when you’re downloading an entire 13 hour stream to watch maybe half of it.

The nice thing about Patreon or donations is that even a one-time $1 donation (alternatively a one-month Patreon subscription at self-set price) is worth more than years of anything paid out by YouTube itself.

I’ve been finding new stuff fine on YouTube without logging in. Though that probably only works well if you have other sources for inspiration, like recommendations from friends, bandcamp sites of small labels or music journalism. I use YouTube’s search function a lot.
beans
IDK, I’ve been having a hell of time trying to make my pizza doughs rise. On the other hand, cookies have been piss-easy, hardest part is that cookie dough is sticky af.

Competition by economists is fierce, though.
why not all three?
