My understanding is they got caught trying to pretend one of the team was unwell so they could swap a team member. They got caught and “disqualified” themselves. Either way they tried cheating and “withdrew” before being disqualified

Only the IOC can disqualify a team. If they “withdrew” then they still weren’t disqualified by themselves

They didn’t disqualify themselves. The IOC disqualified them
