I personally use dnsforge.de which is essentially a public Pi Hole with additional configuration choices for strict or porn/gambling blocking. While this one is specifically german, I think there are probably other such services or you could always host your own. (I know you said “major service” but it’s about the concept)

Your file system is mounted under /etcd/systemdd/systemd and you have to acces files with lsd /etcd/systemdd/systemd/homed-userd-Documentsd-myfiled.txtd.file

Sadly, Linux currently just isn’t a one-to-one replacement for Windows, which is enough of a reason for most people to stay. (I say this as a Linux user myself)

A great alternative is to create a Matrix account and connect a WhatsApp bridge bot with the WhatsApp account, that way you can use any lightweight Matrix client. (It also works cross-platform)

One thing we can do is hope that some apps (e.g. Discord, Spotify and Bitwarden) stop using Electron and starting up a fucking browser for each window

Personally I’ve used FL with Bottles on Fedora with terra-wine-staging package and everything except webviews (FL cloud which I don’t use anyway) works perfecly (and cpu usage is higher than on windows)
