I misread pensioners as prisoners. Was really worried about what they do in prisons over there. Then got to the comments saying “this is common” and I reread the title a couple times before it clicked. Wow I need sleep.

I tried using the Leaf for a couple weeks. It was interesting.
I guess I should stop interacting with Reels
I’m on Voyager too, might be client specific then.
In case you had the same issue I did, it worked for me using [email protected] (uppercase first letter) but I couldn’t subscribe if it’s all lowercase
I can’t find Sports Night and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip by Aaron Sorkin anywhere in Australia.
I might be wrong but I think 28x28 is 16x(7x7) instead of 4x. It should be 7x7x4 instead of (7x4)x(7x4)
What’s with the 1m value and why are all tech companies doing it?
I know I’m being pedantic but I just thought it’s interesting that you said “there’s not a car in sight” when I thought the primary concern was drivers not paying attention to pedestrians crossing the street.
However, why is it more stupid to sit there when there’s not a car on sight only when turning right but not when going straight or turning left? There’s an argument for larger roads with many lanes, sure, but isn’t it the same when it’s only 1-2 lane roads?

The apartments with pets thing, in my building currently there’s an owner who put their dog out in the balcony at night and it would just bark for hours. I sleep at around midnight with barking in the background. I don’t even know until how late it usually does it

I live in Australia, which I guess is not a civilized country.
In any case, what does that even mean for software engineers to be certified? Do we get certifications for specific programming language? Or a stack? Or is it specific to what industry your tech is based on? Cos I don’t think it makes sense for someone working on a social media platform to have the same certification as someone who’s working on health tech for example. Why does it need to be a protected title? Does the general public even care or is it just other certified engineers who care?
Yeah I was gonna ask, whether certification/government regulations are required for all engineering disciplines. I graduated with a CS degree and work as a software engineer now. I have family members who studied different engineering disciplines (industrial, civil, mechanical, etc), and only 1 of them ever needed certification (civil engineer). What makes one more “engineering” than others?
No, he actually doesn’t lol. He’s generally a safe driver and would leave a safe gap if someone signals
My husband when changing lanes would wait until he has space, then indicates while turning. He thinks that if he indicates too early, other drivers would intentionally close gaps and not give him way
My husband got a ticket/points on his license doing that and that stopped him.
Hah. That’s fair. I figured that’s what the upvotes are for. The 2 halves are quite different.
I keep forgetting. Is this gonna be about the last F1 season or the season before that?
