For that, I would need to believe in some concept of a soul; I do not. What makes us is the electrical systems interacting with our nurons. When that stops working, that person no longer exists.
Reddit -> Beehaw until I decided I didn’t like older versions of Lemmy (though it seems most things I didn’t like are better now) -> kbin.social (died) -> kbin.run (died) -> fedia.

If I could zip around the past learning about language, culture, ancient hominins and such until I got tired of it, I would do that. Living again? No thanks.

I would opt out. Once is enough.
Little Jedi was on board. RIP.
I live in Japan (UTC+9) and we don’t really do pranks here for the most part (google and some other tech companies at least used to do it here, but I’m never looking at their websites anymore to know).
What happens is websites and creators I like start doing weird shit either late on the 1st or sometime on the 2nd my time and I never remember that it’s April Fools’ Day and end up confused and annoyed.
I have no voice in my head, so I don’t think that would work very well.

And mine still hasn’t been processed yet so the USPS may have it (for our primary). Fuck.

? I don’t see any other replies but mine. That’s weird.

Up with this sort of thing I shall not put!
(Apologies to Samuel Clemens, iirc)

I’ve lived in Asia for over a decade and it’s not just anti-asian racism. Hell, as a white blond guy, I have it easy compare to black folks.

Each person has a different definition of good. On a Venn diagram, you might even overlap with Hitler or pol pot on one or two points. Humans and their ethics and morality are complex. Different people have different dealbreakers.
Take the example of “even a broken clock is right twice a day” and therein find an answer.
I’m going to guess, and I may be wrong, that a lot of people who would vote for the US Dems have no idea who he is. I didn’t until the last year, though I’ve lived outside of the US for a decade now

Lebensraum. There’s no love (lieben) in this.

I always forget and, being in UTC+9, don’t start seeing things until later in the day when I’m already tired and my brain is not prepared. I assumed someone stole the truck from the title.

The world needs to cut the US out entirely for the foreseeable future.

We have grave re-use here, but it’s kinda hard to explain (especially for me coming from the outside). Graves are family graves and bones (or maybe just some small portion) get moved to an inner temple after so much time.
There are, of course, grave costs, upkeep costs, etc. which are, frankly, insane in many cases, but that’s just my opinion.

much more appropriate
Says who? -er- According to whom?
Is this so you can show superiority? Separate those pesky lower classes out? Language is spoken the way it is spoken and it changes. “have ran” is something that would have gotten me yelled at as a kid and it, honestly, is still kinda grating. However, it’s not my business. If I can understand that speaker, language is doing its job.

Cremation is big here in Japan for a few reasons, but one is very pragmatic: there’s not enough space to bury everyone on the land we have, particularly anywhere near their family. I’m not sure if this is an issue in Thailand as well or how big of one if so, but they also have a lot of jungle.

Maybe. If it’s tied to a kharmic system and not sticking it out led to worse incarnations, that’d probably be a good countering force.
Senior software engineer and farmer here. I approve.
