That is one awesome looking bike! I love when the engine is in the frame instead of part of the frame

Linux@lemmy.ml•Bazzite has seen a massive jolt in growth over the holiday season, surpassing 50k active users. The Fedora Atomic image has gained 38.8k users total in 2025 since it began counting in April 🥳
43·2 months agoThis, so much. I tried pop_os, mint, ubuntu, and more, but all had the problem that when I had an hour to play games, It became 55min of troubleshooting some random issue and not playing because of it.
With Bazzite i can finally use linux and just boot, play a game, shutdown. No hassle.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•How do I run two programs in the same Lutris instance?English
7·3 months agoI’m not sure if this’ll work, but you could try to set the wine prefix to the same base dir for both of them.
Lucky you!
Your attempts are appreciated!
It’s below 0°C here, which means I, as a starting driver, won’t go out sadly. (5°C is a limit I’ve given myself, at least until I’ve been driving for a few years). Good to see others are still having fun! Looks like a nice time enjoy!

6·5 months agoRatchet and Clank on the ps2 did this insanely good. Some guy on youtube completely described how they did it, let me find that real quick.

Games@lemmy.world•Why do some gamers invert their controls? Scientists now have answers, but they’re not what you thinkEnglish
6·6 months agoI find that for me this happens especially often in 3rd person camera control. And I think it has to do with the distance between the camera and the controlled actor.
Think driving a car, and the camera moving up close to the car when you’re under something like a bridge which would otherwise clip the camera. At that point my preference for camera controll switches from ‘orbit object’ mode to ‘aim’ mode so to say.
Does that make sense?
This is the most clear description I got, thanks for that! This is also what I’ve been doing by not knowing any better, although I’ve been doing this while standing next to it while the bike is on the side stand. Mostly because I have yo get off to get to the (pre-)payment terminal anyways.

Factorio@lemmy.world•Should Construction Bots use my inventory?English
10·6 months agoThis is the answer.
I would like to add that you can have multiple personal roboports in your armor to increase the bot limit.
White Goods are large home appliances such as stoves (British: cookers), refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, tumble driers, dishwashers, and air conditioners. They are large electrical goods for the house which were traditionally available only in white. Even though you can purchase them today in a wide range of different colors, they continue to be called white goods.
Above definition from first result on ddg. It might not be a common term everywhere, but where I’m from, the literal translation means the smae thinc, and is pretty universally used in both online and physical stores.
That’s a beautiful bike in a beautiful spot. Have a good time!

Motorcycles@lemmy.world•Second hand buying advice to new rider requested
2·6 months agoWill do! I called the local dealer today, they’re willing to let me testdrive a few different types of bike, to figure out what I like most. And I do like the idea of having their warranty even if they’re a little bit more expensive than the non-comercial second hand market…

1·6 months agoI’m currently looking at sport/tour bikes, and occasionally peeking at some adventure bikes, because i like the looks.
Pricerange would be around €4-5k give or take.
I’m planning on just riding it on the weekends for fun, after I get aquainted with it, a few 1-2 day trips woth a few friends. I’ll probably use it to commute if my SO needs to use the car. But those plans might drastically change once I actually have it…
In the future I want to try out some trails, but for now I’m happy with a road bike, as there aren’t that many places to legally go offroad around here.

2·6 months agoYes, I’ve set my budget so that I won’t have to cry if it explodes on the first day (well, from an economic standpoint anyway).
Thinking of a sport/tour, although I also like how adv bikes look. I’m thinking I might be better off buying a 2nd hand from a dealer… they’re a bit more expensive, but they come with a full service round and warranty. Whith me having no idea what to technically look for and all.

2·6 months agoHey, thanks, that’s a good one. I dropped my school’s bike once (the day of the parking lot exam actually) and my instructor made me figure out how to get it up myself. Much heavier than I expected actually.

29·7 months agoI wondered this too when I was using the Jetbrains ai a while back, but I came to the conclusion that it’s probably just trained on code that’s on the internet, so you’re likely to type something that’s literally in its trainingdata when you’re copying something from the web.
