If you still have your old iPhone, go into settings > click on your name at the top > iCloud > Photos and check if all of your photos are synced or if syncing is paused. If syncing is paused, your photos have not all synced to iCloud so you should just be able to click “resume syncing” and wait for the photos to finish syncing.
If you have AppleCare+/AppleCare it should be covered if there is no actual point of impact or cracks. If you don’t have any coverage and your warranty has expired, you’re looking at approximately $229 plus tax.
Were they backed up to iCloud or iTunes prior to you restoring the phone?
What’s your battery health?
I pay for mine on a monthly basis until I upgrade.
Try going into settings > contacts > accounts > click on your mail account > delete account > re-add the account and then make sure contacts are toggled on. Then give it a few minutes and see if they reappear.
Try a force restart. Quickly press and release volume up, quickly press and release volume down, press and hold only the side/sleep button for 15-20 seconds (do not slide to power off) until the display goes black and a white Apple logo appears and then let go of the side/sleep button and let the phone boot up.
Try this instead: go to settings > click on your name up at the top > click on iCloud > calendar > turn off “use on this iPhone” > click ‘keep on my iPhone’ > then toggle it back on and click ‘merge.’
Settings > Mail > Account (select the correct account)> Calendar > then toggle OFF calendar. It asks if you want to delete the account and you accept. After about a minute, toggle it back on, and the calendar entries will start repopulating, and the search function will start working. Depending on how many calendar entries you have, it will take a while to update, but I have thousands and it updated in less than one hour. Search function works again.
