A lot of Kick fans and viewers like content from people who pick fights with randos in public and generally try to get a rise out of people. Even that is not as bad as recklessly crashing a luxury car that has a friend as well as an employee inside.
It has nothing to do with the current generation of kids. There were definitely kids you grew up with who would have loved this content of it was around at the time.
