Seriously, who needs to record someone without the knowledge of the person being recorded? That’s a big red flag, a perverted character, there’s no other explanation. Creepy Mark Zuckerberg allowed other creepy characters to share personal moments with him.

      Or you could just use a cheap camera (might be less expensive than the hard hat) or your work phone. (Free) They also have the benefit of not being fixed to your head and a viewfinder so you know exactly what’s in frame.

        You’re now starting to argue on which one can better serve a stated purpose when I’m trying to state that the existing product is being used for a specific role. A hands free camera that takes video wherever you look can be a tool which some inspectors may want while others may use something else like a phone.

        It is close enough where the tradeoffs are evaluated on an individual level instead of categorically being thrown out.
