Central Saint Martins graduate Luke Talbot has created a portable charger that can be hooked up to rental bikes to allow people experiencing homelessness to charge their phones for free.
The named Powerbank will last days with zero light. A few watt out of solar panel (like 10%, 2 Watt to keep the phone running) would be no problem even at a rainy day!
But this is based in London, where solar power isn’t going to be reliable. However, these bikes are everywhere.
