Trump proposed $25 billion for student debt in the COVID stimulus paused debt repayments. Trump was happy about SCOTUS saying Biden couldnt forgive $400 billion in debt last year saying “Today, the Supreme Court also ruled that President Biden cannot wipe out hundreds of billions, perhaps trillions of dollars, in student loan debt, which would have been very unfair to the millions and millions of people who paid their debt through hard work and diligence; very unfair,”
Also in 2020 Trump again proposes ending student loan forgiveness program which was the 4th year in a row he proposed it. So yeaaaaaa. Gonna have to pass on this instance of saying Trump and Biden are completely aligned here.
A guy owns 100% of 100 peoples debt and has the power to just… poof it out of existence with some scribbles on a piece of paper.
In an act of generosity, the guy randomly chooses 10 of those 100 and poofs all or part of their debt away.
Awesome… now do that, 10 more times.
This might come as a surprise, but we are well aware trump bad. We see democrats as a more immediate threat because they do nothing but enable the big, bad boogyman that they pretend to fight.
