I recently played through universal Paperclips. It was okay, looking for more to try.
Trimps. I’m hopelessly addicted.
Damn you…
I’ve tried almost all popular incremental games. Some I might have forgotten, but most are not listed because I lost interest.
Sorry in advance for lack of links, on mobile ATM. If there is interest I can add them.
Note: Most web games work on mobile, but some require an S-Pen or so for hovering upgrade tooltips before buying.
Favorites, beaten (web):
- Matter dimensions (my all time favorite)
- Godtree incremental (quite short)
- Idle Formulas
- Succubox (too much clicking but was similar to universal paperclips)
- Smaller demo games, like summer jam games or from www.incrementaldb.com
Favorites, beaten (Android):
- Upload Simulator (nice pacing)
Still playing (web)
- Incremental Mass Rewritten (active development)
- Antimatter dimensions (inspiration for many others, mobile app missing last layer)
- Fundamental (slow cycle; upgrades -> offline -> warp offline time)
Current Android games:
- Ctrl C (repeat old chapters for multipliers)
- Grimoire
- Myriad + Myriad DE (definite edition is slower, but in development)
- Upload Simulator 2 (don’t like the pacing compared to 1st)
- SPACEPLAN (trying out. nice, apparently new, visuals)
Also occasionally playing steam versions of Increlution or Cookie Clicker, and waiting for Orb of Creation v0.6.0.
Currently 100+ days into Fundamental, it is shockingly deep despite being so simple.

Huh. Today I learned. :D
Oh man, that screenshot of Progress Quest gave me instant nostalgia
Sigh.
Once more into the killing fields we go, friends.
I recently beat Antimatter Dimensions after coming back to the Reality update after a long while. There’s a lot of depth, especially in the new additions. I appreciate all the layers and addition of QoL upgrades.
Bitburner was fun as an incremental hacking sim. I haven’t played it for a while, but I find it really unique.
There’s also Orb of Creation which can be a bit grindy but also seems really fun for what it offers. I’ve been playing the demo version at https://marple.itch.io/orb-of-creation
Just want to report that I’ve been hopelessly obsessed with BitBurner since I saw you recommend it over a month ago. Thanks!
It’s not a type of game I often play, but I enjoyed Kittens game a lot. And space plan, while not super long, was also really enjoyable
+1 for Space Plan
I haven’t found/heard of a good, meaty new game in a while. Recetly I’ve dug back into Leaf Blower Revolution but like a lot of incremental games it eventually devolves into having very specific strategies or goals.
I have quite enjoyed Synergism in the past, as well as Wizard and Minion Idle and NGU.
Eh, if one of the better incrementals is only ok to you, I’m not sure if you want to try more of the genre.
Been playing Melvor Idle, really great one that replicates old school runescape’s Skilling experience as an idle game. I also enjoy Impossible Dungeon quite a bit as well, top down auto dungeon crawler where you earn points to upgrade and customize a party for getting as far down a dungeon as you can and competing with other players in tournaments and dailies.
Melvor Idle is great. I’ve been playing it for almost two months now and like it, even though I never played Runescape.
What’s the endorphin rush like for this game? OG RuneScape player, so I know getting the next tool or tree type but not sure how just having a stats screen gives the same kinda feeling?
A lot of people like Melvor so it must be doing something right :)
Am I looking at the right thing? Melvor Idle is $10 on Steam? Is there a free version somewhere? I find it hard to imagine paying that much for an idle game. I paid $2 for Space Plan but $10?? I just… this can’t be right.
I recently restarted cookie clicker. Big mistake
I enjoyed a dark room
if you are on android, the tower is pretty good. it has years of stuff to do, and it’s still getting more added to it.
Stone story has been great fun.
So many good games already mentioned! I would add Arcanum: Theory of Magic and Progress Knight (any variation beside the OG, like: 2.0, Reborn, Quest)
Idle Wizard is good on PC, a bit different and takes some getting used to.
Otherwise we have Soda Dungeon 1 & 2 for mobile, which is fantastic.
I loved the first Soda Dungeon. But I couldn’t get into the second one in the same way. I think the progression was slower. I think maybe they thought the first was too easy.
