Congress represents corporate interests and wealthy individuals who support their election campaigns. The only give lipservice actually giving a shit about the people who supposedly elect them.

That is correct. Congress have their own discourse while they deal with the public differently. There is a lot of stuff that goes on that clearly does not represent the will of the American people.
