Looks like Amerikkkans might just get their Chinese EVs, but at a literal 5-10x markup price lmao

Would be a super interesting way for China to bypass US tariffs. Push them through using their joint partnerships with Japanese and Korean car companies lmao. I’d imagine they’d share the IP and they get a % cut or something

What I really wanna see is if the LFP batteries last substantially longer, since battery life accounts for a huge portion of the value loss for electric vehicles.

Is a 10 year old BYDToyota EV gonna have a better bluebook value than a 10 year old tesla or BMW that was bought for 4x the price?

  • it would be my absolute honor and priviledge to drive a knock off EV that i bought on the grey market with no warranty, that, upon casual glance by the county clerk, looks like a street legal model for the US domestic market so i get a tag and title.

just me, cruising around in an Toyoda Cumry LX i got in a dead mall’s parking lot, straight out of a shipping container for $900 that i can order parts from off alibaba.
