      Nah. At least for the basics - housing, food, etc. It turns out it is extraordinarily difficult to measure someone’s “opportunities”, especially at societal scale. Make sure everyone’s NEEDS are met, don’t bother with the means-testing red tape.

      Perhaps for things beyond basic necessities.

      Equality of outcomes is impossible. Equality of opportunity is the only the anyone every asks for. Aka, equity not equality.
