Never made the connection on black/whitelisting before now. Huh.
Because that’s not the connection, and you didn’t make it because you’re not looking for silly reasons to get upset over. The symbolism of dark vs light, fire vs darkness predates modern notions of racism and according to a quick wiki check, the etymology of the word blacklist has no relation to the color of anyone’s skin either.
And it’s a ridiculous and empty gesture there as well as here.
