      They did have arcs, but more in that way older star trek did where you get a blurb about it during the rest of the episodes self contained content then a dedicated episode at the beginnings and ends of the season with 1-2 dedicated episodes somewhere in the middle. Well balanced for multiple watch styles.

      Last season had a good wrap up too so it makes hiatuses not feel painful. Wish shows would go that route over cliff hangers with how shows now take years to get another season and many forget what even happened by the time it returns. More seasons should feel more complete by the end of it even if there are potential storylines to explore in the future.

      Well there are some of those, but they run in parallel for the most part, which is very digestible. They have done a great job on this show.

        Yeah fair enough. Key part was “arcs that go nowhere”. I got so incredibly tired of TV shows that think the way to do mystery is drawing out plot far too slowly, in hopes you’ll tune in next episode.

        Then again, regarding new trek, I only watched season 1 of Discovery, and the first episode of Picard. I ain’t got no patience for this.
