Recently we got the updated vax as it’s a requirement for where my partner and I work. We both got beat to shit by it, she’s had stomach issues of diarrhea and vomiting and a general ache. I have felt as if I been throw down a set of stairs and ran over by a truck. Heard that others are having similar reactions, wondering if it’s just anecdotal or this one just hits harder for everyone.

I need to get that new one.

But I have so much to do lately I couldn’t afford to get knocked out like that, then again couldn’t afford to get knocked out by COVID either. Fucking stupid country.

The new one did seem to hit me harder than the previous two boosters, but I got the flu shot at the same time so it could be either. Means it’s working, I guess. It only lasted a day or two for me.

I get fucked up every time I get a COVID vac and get no symptoms whatsoever from any other vaccine, but I’ve also never gotten COVID, or at least not symptomatically, so there’s that I guess

Got the pfizer one this morning, so far a little fatigue and some definite body aches, arm is sore, and I usually run a fever with these, so I’m curious to see how I fare tomorrow.

I’ve gotten moderna each time, and it’s always knocked me on my ass for two or three days. It’s a higher dose than pfizer, and tends to provoke a stronger reaction.

Supposedly the stronger reaction means you will have better protection but there are no guarantees.

the new one knocked me on my ass more than the other ones did for sure. I was mostly fine the day of getting it but the next day was a complete wash. Just achey and my mind was running a little slow. the day after was a little better and then I was all good on the third day

I got COVID 2 months ago, waiting another month before I get an updated vax, but COVID shots pretty consistent kick my ass. Fatigue, chills, brain fog. It generally lasts 24 hours, vs 3-4 days (plus more isolation) when I got COVID, so, worth it but definitely tough. I get them on a Friday and and just assume Saturday is lost.

I only had Moderna’s shots, and only the first three (the main first two and then a booster). The only one that had me feeling any of the ways you have been was the second one of the three. No real issues aside from maybe feeling like I was tired at the end of the day (but for the whole day). Though I think that my ADHD meds countered it feeling worse. For the one that did mess with me crazy, it was only after my ADHD meds wore off for the day. Was shocking to have the heavy stuff hit so suddenly. Feeling so freaking cold but then too hot when trying to get warm.

My worst reaction was to the booster last year, it had me feeling fatigued and lethargic for a whole weekend. This year I got my covid and flu together, and I had some cold sweats and chills that kept me up the night I got it but by the morning I felt fine
