okay okay okay my last rant, I remember sometime when I was a kid, idk how old I was, but I remember seeing a post talking about the myth of camel spiders in Iraqi and how Americans used it to gain sympathy for their soldiers, and the first thing I thought of was “Iraqis and by extension we aren’t humans to these people”, they show this hoax of a big ass spider that apparently eats people or something in Iraq and they used it to say “oooh our poor wittle twoops” instead of having sympathy towards the Iraqi people for dealing with them, or idk better yet THE AMERICAN SOLDIERS MURDERING RAPING AND TORTURING THEM.
