Brics won’t mean shit unless there are also military agreements and defenses from coup governments who can make exits from Brics. As western dominance wanes it’s going to throw a ton of shit at everyone.
Russia clearly recognizes this, hence why they set up CSTO. However, I would argue that BRICS improving economic situation in countries is itself a step that makes coups much less likely. If you look at US playbook, they always start by undermining the economy, and then exploiting the resulting tensions to drive color revolutions and other regime change operations.
