Summary

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu endorsed a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah to end a year-long war that has killed 3,800 people in Lebanon and displaced over 1.2 million.

The agreement, brokered with U.S. assistance, requires Hezbollah to retreat 20 miles from the Israeli border and Israeli forces to gradually withdraw within 60 days. Lebanese troops and UN peacekeepers will secure southern Lebanon.

Despite active cross-border fire, the deal is expected to halt hostilities imminently.

Despite the progress, negotiations for a ceasefire in Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza have stalled.

Is it only young people commenting under this post? Everyone is so skeptical as if Hezbollah and Israel haven’t gone through this numerous times in the past.

Will it last forever? It never has before. Will it dramatically reduce hostilities for a period of time? Very likely.

…within 60 days. So a week after trumps inauguration. What a coincidence.

How much you want to bet Israelis are going to be building houses all up in that 20-mile zone almost immediately?

All Israelis are interested in is global domination and enslaving humans. Wouldn’t trust them for a second.
