Why the hell are they building in Arizona?
Empty land, ridiculously good solar, rare weather events, along enough railways that the products can get anywhere.
Same reason you can get toyotas built in the US. No import tax.
Also, the US needs it. We can build advanced chips in the US with it there, and it employs/trains Americans.
