    “For us, it is still the Gulf of Mexico, and for the entire world it is still the Gulf of Mexico,” said Claudia Sheinbaum, the Mexican president, on Tuesday. She previously joked that Mexico should refer to the US as “Mexican America”.

      At least the parts that used to be Mexican Territory, if nothing else.

      Or all of it I’m good with that too

      Although the fact that Mexico’s official name is “Estados Unidos Mexicanos”/“Mexican United States” does muddy things a bit.
