I’ve seen so much confusion between the two, at first I thought it was trolls, but it’s so consistent that I’ve begun to wonder if they actually don’t understand.

    Illegally immigrating and then seeking asylum afterwards is still illegal immigration

    Asylum is legally considered part of the removal process for illegal immigrants. Assuming this occurs before they’re caught, why would you kick them out when they’re following the process?

    that’s violating your visa is illegal, it’s no where near as prevalent as illegal border crossings
