My niece was 4 when I first watched the Holiday Special and my reaction was such that she would get scared at the mere mention of the words “holiday special”. It was a great way to get her to behave. “Tidy up your toys now or I’ll make you watch the holiday special.”

I used to go to Florida Tech, it’s a small nerdy school on the east coast of Florida only a few miles from the ocean. The sci fi club has a copy of the holiday special, but when I asked about watching it I was told that the last time they watched it Florida got hit by hurricanes Charlie, Francis, and Jeanne and that’s why they don’t watch it anymore.
