Afaik they’d have to go through customs for the country they’re trying to enter. I can’t recall ever having to deal with US customs when leaving the US, it’s always been the country I’m traveling to.
You have to go through TSA and ICE has broad authority within 200 miles of a port of entry. They absolutely fuck with people while they travel. Never bring anything with you that you don’t want stolen. That includes cash.
Exactly my thought. For the same reason they’ve been arresting people at the border trying to enter the US instead of just turning them away, I expect they’ll arrest anyone they seem “illegal” trying to exit the country: The prison industrial complex.
They’re going to get rich off of imprisoning people and forcing them into slave labor and internment camps.
Well I mean the article says that they’re not even going to wait until the “deadline” for so-called self-deportation before they start arresting people who came in under the immigration program:
“But DHS said it retains the authority to target migrants who arrived under this program before the 30-day period lapses. Officials say those prioritized for arrest will include migrants who have failed to apply for another immigration benefit like asylum or a green card.”
So they’ve overnight given themselves the right to arrest people who the day before had a legal right to live in the US. Basically they seem to think the only legal and human rights that exist are those granted by their god-king or Muskolini, and they don’t fear the legacy judicial system.
Yes, for sure this is going to happen. Just like Leon is profiting of the foreign workers with a working visa, and them being completely dependent on it, this is a large group of people that literally have nowhere to go. They will be exploited to the fullest extend.
Doesnt even seem safe to self-deport. Still gotta to through the customs to get out dont they?

It’s still risky. A woman got detained recently because she was denied entry into Canada and forced to return to the US where they arrested her.

There are better and easier ways for “them” to make money. This is just maliciousness.

This is that “when they came for ____” moment when the people of the U.S. need to do something.

What a time to be alive eh?
Almost never, no.
