I’ve been watching Dark again, the German sci-fi series on Netflix.

a few things have jumped out to me as notable but this especially,

From then on, I knew that nothing changes. That all things remain as before. The spinning wheel turns, round and round in a circle. One fate tied to the next. A thread, red like blood, that cleaves together all our deeds. One cannot unravel the knots. But they can be severed. He severed ours, with the sharpest blade. Yet something remains behind that cannot be severed. An invisible bond. On many a night he tugs at it. And then I wake with a start, knowing that nothing ceases to be. That all remains.

      Geelong deserves no recognition, ever

Worked there for a while and leaned the local’s biggest personality trait is not being from Melbourne.

      Sad cases all around

Not feeling too good… today I felt cold but now overheating! Must be those flu like symptoms/mild fever from the iron infusion.

Melbcat is sitting with me. She’s so beautiful 🥰

What a perfect little day. My uni meeting got cancelled and the ground floor unit had really loud renovations; I just had to get out of there…

    today's jaunt

…so first I drove to Carlton North, picked up some lovely pastries, and took them to the office on my day off to share with the few people around for morning tea. This was incredibly well-received. Then made impromptu plans to go to the Yayoi Kusama exhibition with a friend who left work early. Got in at 1:45pm. It was better than I thought (I didn’t think much of her pop art and I hate queues and hype but the crowd was not too bad; honestly I preferred her older stuff and I definitely liked that I could see the evolution towards her current style. I appreciate it a lot more now).

Then we went to Yamamoto Udon near Paramount Food Court - exquisitely chilled-out and relaxing between 4-5pm - I had a prawn curry bisque udon and a very yummy Sino-Japanese style squid side dish. My friend got sliced scallops (?) with garlic shoots. All very delicious and the hot and hearty udon was just what I needed on a cold day.

And then we decided on the spot to go watch The Cats of Gokogu Shrine at Kino where, just my luck, it was happy hour. One $6 glass of Shiraz and a super relaxing/healing movie later, I am on the tram home. My cup is nice and full. ☺️

… Good thing I have absolutely nothing planned for the weekend, guess now that I’ve had such a beautiful day I’ll have enough in the tank to crack on with a bit of uni desktop work and chores.

You are a kind soul. Any luck finding a rescue organisation that could rehome them? The 11 could turn into 50 very quickly if the cats are not desexed. Cats can become pregnant very young.

Only 1 bothered to respond to my query. They said to try again in 2 weeks.

Another responded and said call the council.

No way. They’ll euthanise them. Better they stay strays than that.

I don’t know what to do except keep feeding them. I can’t take in any more cats. I’ll be leaving here in 6 months and I’m worried what will happen then.

I just finished the first High School Musical movie. I don’t know why the franchise became one of my obsessions as a kid, but there we go.

Am in possession of News ™ of the unpleasant kind. Attending somebody else’s event on my birthday just got a whole bunch more complicated. Drunk and rocking in the corner it is.

    Bit rough out there.

So jumping in soon for the sunset swim. I believe this might be the arse end of the weather system / swell that hit the east coast a few days ago. Sometimes goes over that wall but like that not often.

MissGod has completed the work experience week at the police station and courthouse. None of it super exciting but has made quite a few acquaintances with the local constabulary.

My biggest client decided to call for a Friday late afternoon pow-wow which has properly fried my brain. Ready to check out mentally for the weekend. This week felt like a lot for some reason, but not as shitty as last week so we’re on the up.

    Well, first week is over.

Pretty tired but not in a bad way necessarily. Will be nice to have some time to just relax tonight and not be on a timer.

Have a few errands to run then it’s home sweet home.

Woke up in the middle of the night last night and wasn’t asleep after 15 minutes due to thoughts, so I put on an audiobook. Two hours later, I was asleep again but brain did not work today. I collected worksheets from a couple of students and then two minutes later, I went over to them again asking for their worksheets. Boo
