Do you have any other communities on lazysoci.al yet? I’m asking because this is now the second time I’ve come across a question like this where people are specifically asking about women-centric platforms and not just communities. I’m assuming that lazysoci.al is your own instance. In which case, maybe you could promote the instance as a whole as being a spot where women can sign up and make communities etc in a space that has women in mind first and foremost.

I’m a little surprised a womens only instance hasn’t sprung up yet. It’s a situation that would need more specific moderation needs.

Honestly I don’t know if I’d recommend (current) Lemmy to someone looking for a women’s space. There’s like this 10% of users that get very argumentative any time a feminist topic is brought up.

This is almost necroposting but for sure. It’s exhausting.

And that’s the problem with women-centric anything on the internet. It always attracts those chuds, and they are everywhere. I explicitly have to remind myself not to reply to misogynist comments, because as soon as you do, here are 5 more dudes to tell you why you’re stupid and wrong.
