Because no one benefits from forcing people who can’t pay to pay anyway. It only harms everyone involved and costs tax payers way more than we will ever be able to claw back.
For an administration who is making cuts everywhere under the guise of “saving” money, it just shows that cruelty is the real point and not saving.

Because people who are struggling financially already shouldn’t have money taken out of their paychecks by the predatory student loan racket.
