Soriety babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-rama (1988)
Absolutely, Ive actually seen it a few times now. Great b horror cheesefest with a rather awesome bad guy and Linnea Quigley in it so that’s a plus. Think it might be Sinners this works though.
You?
Mickey17 (2025) and I didn’t really like it.
I read the book recently and had no idea they were making a movie. When I heard about the movie, I was hyped as I really liked the book. However it turned out the movie had very little in common with the book. Some of the plot points were there and some of the changes I understood. But a lot of them I didn’t understand. The themes and characters were totally different and I didn’t really like the direction they took the story.
In my opinion the acting was good and the CGI was fine. Costume design was a bit uninspired, but that might be fitting for the story. The movie was also a bit long and at the same time didn’t cover everything from the book. Maybe there was just too much story for a movie.
I kind hate the old cliche of the book was better than the movie, but in this case I fully agree. The movie wasn’t very good and the book was very good. So not recommended by me.
I enjoyed it, it was entertaining.
Just saw Warfare. Not a date movie, but a strong argument for avoiding war. Recommend it for guys contemplating joining up or wanting to remember their own combat experience. No glossing over anything.
The Menu (2022). Not bad. Worth a watch although i felt like it could’ve been more creative than it was.
This is a good movie, I would recommend it too
Space Truckers (1999)
A comedy about truckers…in space.
It stars Dennis Hopper, Debi Mazar, and Charles Dance.
It’s a tight 90min and a pretty good time. I’m not sure how I had never heard of it before.
Edit: whoops…realized I was in a horror sub after posting
Popeye the slayer man. It was terrible in all the right ways. Much better than the Micky horror.
Just watched The Thaw, it was surprisingly good, I would recommend it. I think it cribbed from The Thing, it’s mild body horror, but it is its own thing and not a copy.
I also just watched Gremlin (not Gremlins) which was pretty good. Not amazing but I enjoyed it.
Police academy. Old humor, I wasn’t sure if it would go well but my son was laughing more than I expected.
Next movie will be police academy pt2
Hoping for naked gun next.
Which one? The remake or original.
Wait there’s a remake? I meant watching the ones from 80s
Watched a British 3 episode possession miniseries (basically movie length) called The Enfield Haunting. I liked it. Easy watch with likable characters, some laughs, decent acting, and a good story. I’d recommend it for Sunday movie vibes.
Mulholland Drive. If you like David Lynch or surrealist films that leave a lot open to interpretation then you’ll enjoy it.
