They’re okay, not great, not bad, just okay. There are references to the original crew of the Enterprise in the TNG show a few times, but I don’t remember any references in the movies. I think they can all be watched as stand-alone movies except for the Star Trek: Nemesis movie because there’s a major plot development in it.
Are the TNG movies worth watching in your opinion? If so, should i watch TOS and TOS movies before TNG ones?
