12 year old account got permabanned for telling a Nazi off. But even before this happened I’ve noticed how much reddit has dropped off the last few years compared to when I discovered it.

Account age was used when factoring the credibility/legitimacy of a user account when humans moderated.

The AI moderators don’t care, and making most non-banned accounts younger makes it harder to verify the legitimacy of the accounts, which is even a good thing if they are trying to flood the site with bots.

this hasnt slowed down mass accounts from created instantly and to spam propaganda, OF accs, or Links to a business. i think what happen is they just upped thier sensitivity of thier spam filters, now its seeing botting everywhere, even normal people. and yes AI cant discriminate between a real person and a botter.
