Vancouver is notoriously one of the, if not the - most expensive place/s to live in Canada. The cost of living there was insane even before the housing crisis. It can cost something like $3000 a month for something as small as a 350 Sq foot apartment, and the average monthly living cost for an individual there (not a family) is over $5000. Near vancouver, it’s not that great either.
The city also has a pretty rough homelessness and opioid problem, so take that for what you will.
If you find a job that pays like $120,000, then go for it, otherwise it’s not so good.
If you want cheaper property/rental prices in Canada, I would probably recommend looking at listings in provinces such as Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
If you ever get out and want to have any money to your name, do NOT move to Vancouver…
Why not?
