Hey Dungeoneers,
The next Shattered Pixel Dungeon update will include a new trinket! It’s a simpler one this time, with more of a cute aesthetic. It’s a little reference to a favorite ferret.
The Ferret Tuft boosts evasion for all characters, including both allies and enemies! That might sound like a mixed bag, but keep in mind that there are lots of ways to counter enemy evasion: magic, most ability attacks, surprise attacks, etc. You’ll need to make more use of these than usual to benefit from the trinket, but the extra defensive power can be well worth it.
(Image Description: An image showing the item info window for the new Ferret Tuft item. It reads: “Ferret Tuft +3: A tuft of silky white ferret fur, held together by a lime green ribbon tied into a bow. Ferrets are known for their agility, mischievousness, and lack of integrity. Some of that power seems to radiate from the trinket, enhancing the evasion of anything nearby. At its current level this trinket will increase the evasion of all characters by 60%.”)
The rare enemies and trinket look great so far! Can we temporarily cancel this effect by throwing it away from the bag? I think that’s extremely important to make this trinket usable, as wand charges are finite. And does the evasion boost work multiplicatively and stacks with ring of evasion, rogue freerunner evasion boost, etc?
Looks like this trinket will benefit a lot for mage, cleric, rogue cloak + evasion, and duelist’s many guaranteed hits. Unfortunately warrior doesn’t benefit as much from this trinket compared to the others.
this seems too broken on mage or wand builds really
I’ll be very interested to see how well this trinket does for the Mage. Keep in mind though that if you’re magically attacking an enemy with a wand you’re also a lot more likely to not even be in retaliation range in the first place.
Wow, this sounds so great for a lot of different evasion-based stuff. Also great to go with a ring of tenacity (which people on Reddit lambast me for defending)!
Seems interesting. I usually get the crystals if given the option, but I might pick this instead. I could always use more evasion.
