Hello, I just want to first say love the sight! A free AI art generator with no login and no credits, beautiful. But I do want to suggest one change, out of curiosity I posted an image to gallery then had a change of mind, too little too late, I couldn’t delete it. So perhaps the dev can get rid of it, or add an option to get rid of it, or make it a login thing. https://perchance.org/i5898qh3hq and the image in question is https://generated-images.perchance.org/image/5e23666e109463c62ccb669c49a5713359dee011da7ea7156debe7ec43ee96e6.jpeg surprised you can’t get rid of your own image once sent.
Is the page you’ve linked one that you can edit? Best way is you can delete the page and there is a very low chance of it being able to be chosen again as a new page. Essentially hiding the image unless someone creates the same page with the same URL since the images are tied to the URL of the page (essentially creating a folder on the server based on the URL and storing the images on there). @perchance pinging dev.
Any link to it, just resets everything! And my mistake image is still in the gallery problem, not solved! So, there’s no real way of deleting the image from the gallery, Is there? I sent a similar message to the admin, but I’m not sure if he’ll get back to me. At least tell me this, will you be looking into a way to delete or remove images from the gallery?
Currently, there is no way. The image is not tied to the user.
I’m not the dev of the site, but a way to delete your images should be possible, unless there is some limitation in ‘tying’ the data into the account. Perchance doesn’t really need for you to create an account, it is only there if you want to create and save your own pages/generators and it doesn’t tie to the text to image gallery or any of the AI based generators.
Curiosity killed the cat, I wish I never put that image in the gallery. So the only way to get rid of the image is to get rid of the URL… And in doing so, delete the other image, the person who made it might want to keep… Can you put me in touch with the dev?
I would think the Dev is very busy at the moment. I’ve also linked the Dev’s handle on the platform in my previous comment.
To solve this delete problem, may I suggest on Dev giving a maximum number of images within a gallery? So after reach the treshold, the oldest image will be automatically sent to server archive/removed. This should work for all current galleries too. Will this work?
Very busy, as I’m not the only one who wants to talk to him. In fact, he’s so busy that most people’s messages don’t even get through.
I believe a lot of people want this delete feature (or something similar), including in the other perchance AI generator, such as: https://perchance.org/ai-text-to-image-generator
If a downvote is to move the order of the image to bottom (although doesnt really work if that image is the only image in the gallery). Perhaps the closest way to delete is to block a user. If you click the block botton, there is a pop up notification that says: “Block all images from this user? Note: If enough people block a user, their images will not show up in the gallery at all …”
There is a hint that the image (unfortunately all images of one user) can sort of be deleted. Now the question is how many block/people to block needed to make the ‘images will not show up’?
The vote scores are for the
hideIfScoreIsBelow
function on the gallery. So, if the votes cross a certain threshold, the image would be hidden. Blocks are for ‘user-wide’ hiding of images from a certain user.Lets say it cross a certain threshold, does the image hidden for myself or also for others?
For everyone, even the images you’ve sent.
If only we could contact the Dev, the maker of perchance. I’ve made the attempt, even got the email to go through, but so far no response. VioneT says the Dev is busy, What do you think?
I notice there are block button that says ‘if enough people block a user, their images won’t show up in the gallery at all’. How many people needed exactly to remove the images?
Not sure, I haven’t tested it myself and I can’t find anything on the client-side code of the gallery so it might be handled server-side. @[email protected] might have an idea.
I have absolutely no idea
We can test here: https://perchance.org/mg95yjcpe0
Just comment on the comments plugin if you have blocked the image I sent.
As the dev of the site, do you have any information about any of the images posted, esp the hafling image? I.e. how many galleries created, how many people downvote or how many people block? Or which image receive most downvote?
Again, I’m not a dev of the site. I do not have any access to those data, which is why I’m asking for those that want to participate on that test to ‘comment’ on the comment sections. Since I’ve sent the ‘halfling’ image, it is permanently on my view, and those that blocked me (the user that sent it) will be able to hide it.
Currently we don’t know the threshold of how many user blocks does it take for the image to be hidden for those who didn’t block the user, which is the purpose of the test, so maybe this test can help a group of moderators to swarm block the inappropriate gallery poster and have their images hidden from other people’s view.
On the how many people downvote/upvote, you can manually change the
hideIfScoreIsBelow
property of the gallery settings to check if the images are hidden after a certain value ofhideIfScoreIsBelow
, essentially getting its score, but on the ‘blocked’ user, there isn’t a way, thus the test. The block and downvote are different
