    One of the biggest red flags that you might be getting conned is when they try to rush your decision. “It’s an emergency, your grandson is in jail and needs $500 to get bailed out, no you can’t hang up to call him, we need it now or he gets put in a cell with Rapist Bob.”

    Not saying this is a scam, just saying the tactic feels predatory. Do better, dems.

      I hate how everyone follows the social marketing playbook now. There’s so little community building and genuine connection with constituents. Everything is optimized by some social media marketing guru types with a masters degree in being an asshole.

        Yeah, please just talk to me like a person instead of advertising at me. Manipulation may work, but it’s not the kind of interaction I want to have with my representatives.

          I donate quite a bit and I’ve only found AOC and Bernie (big surprise) to be ones that are looking for something other than “send me another check” as a follow-up to your donation.

          AOC and Bernie send updates and shit telling you what they’re doing for their constituents, how you can get more involved, etc.
