She’s pandering to her base of people who have never left the state and only know of other places through what they see on Fox News and other biased sources. This state is about 99% morons with a few intelligent, educated people keeping things running. Some of us are desperate to get out, though.

Small town Arkansas scares the shit out of me. I ran a marathon in a small town there. Most marathons in the states start with the national anthem because of rampant jingoism and its subscribers massive insecurity. That I get. This was after Kapernick, and the PA said that he better not see anyone kneel or he will personally make sure they can’t stand back up. The chill in that air in the humid AF May air in that crowd is something I won’t forget.

My SO grew up in small town Arkansas, and basically everyone from their class is on drugs, dead, or in prison. Shit’s crazy.

I got invited to my 10 year class reunion. No way I’m going to that. Half the class is in jail or escaped this state. The reunion will be like 10 people

And that’s with the massive population difference between the two states AND the number of population centers in each state.

homicide rate generally means normalized for population, so something like “1.2 homicides per 100,000 people” so the larger population doesn’t usually come into play. That said, I didn’t actually look up the numbers.

It will not, because when Gazpacho police will start rounding up their undesirables, they will cheer them on instead of protesting it. Until they themselves will get rounded, but thinking about it requires educational levels unachievable for Arkansasian
