A little different than what usually gets posted here, but hey, it has automation. If you think it doesn’t belong, Rule 1 is

Please stay on-topic: post about automation and factory builder games. There is some wiggle room; there always is when it comes to game genres, but some things clearly do not fit (Pong, a post asking what car you should buy in real life) and will be removed.

If you think this clearly does not fit and I have horribly misjudged, feel free to report. If I get enough reports/downvotes I’ll take it as a sign it really does not belong and remove my post :)

I liked the demo, but I have some concerns about the game’s overall difficulty because the puzzles in the demo were really easy. I’m wondering if maybe they’re targeting kids/younger teens with this one.

This looks like it lacks the polish of a usual Zachtronics game. I wonder what happened to the original developer, I thought it was just the one person last I checked

It’s cool to see a new Zach-like game post-Zachtronics closure.

And coincidentally, the developer Coincidence is a team made up of former Zachtronics members. Including… one Zach Barth.

      https://gamermatters.com/kaizen-a-factory-story-is-a-new-zach-like-game-by-former-zachtronics-members/

So I looked into the closing more, it was voluntary and not caused by disaster. Also,

Though Zachtronics is closing down, it’s only really doing so in the sense that it won’t be making any more games – hence all of its development staff no longer working at the studio.

The company itself is still going to exist and its games will still be available for purchase. Barth will even be around to address any problems that might arise.

This also makes it a Zach-like and not a Zachtronics release, so I changed my title to reflect that.
