Always felt Donnie Brasco was somewhat underappreciated for the mob movies, and I definitely (okay maybe pretty sure, it’s been a few decades now) remember him from that with the line ‘you work for me now’. For some reason that one stuck with me. Seemed entertaining in his roles.
Yes I agree. And that is a memorable line! I thought he was more tame than some of the other gangsters. Stern, but fair, relatively speaking. But of course there’s Lefty, and you kinda feel bad for him, getting passed over (even with the boat), and then again there at the end.
Edit: Lefty did have something like 27 hits by him, sooo only feeling so-so over it all lol.
